At Escutcheon, it is traditional to support charities and be of a benevolent nature.

• I raise cash for Starlight, a charity for terminally ill children.
• For Oxfam, I assess guitars that have been donated, at no charge, and buy the occasional item.
• Once a year, I raise cash for the British & International Sailors Society.
• Annually, I buy something from Clarity, a charity for the blind.
• I collect cash for the       R.N.I.B. 
• I also support the British Legion. All forces & ex-servicemen are welcome to call at my stall or through the website.

• I have raised another £197 for Starlight to date plus another £36 last week.
  
• I collect for BISS  too.
  
• JAC outreach is a local charity that helps young people to cope with life.
• SHELTER visited Wokingham Town centre last week. A team of people were creating awareness amongst the shoppers.
  

Extra Duties.

It is also my duty to encourage my colleagues in music to support a charity of their choice and/or more. I hope that they can also carry out acts of benevolence whenever possible.

I now use the computer system to assist OAPs, ex-servicemen, building tradesmen and travelling people who have no access to the Internet. This is mostly for the purpose of buying CDs but occasionally other reasons crop up.                                Donated 11/02/10:-      2 cartons of videos for sale in aid of Starlight. 3 per Pound £ GB.
